Clear Aligners

A modern, discreet alternative to braces, planned with the long-term smile in mind.

What are Clear Aligners

Clear aligners are a series of nearly invisible, custom-fit trays that gradually move your teeth into their planned final position. At Toothology in Richmond, our team uses Invisalign and comparable systems to treat mild to moderately complex alignment cases, often as the foundation of a broader smile design plan.

Results That Speak for Themselves

Why Clear Aligners

Aligners aren’t just about appearance, although the discretion is real. Straight teeth are easier to clean, easier to keep healthy, and easier to restore beautifully if cosmetic work follows. Our team often integrates aligner therapy into smile makeover plans precisely because aligning the teeth first means the final cosmetic restorations can be more conservative. The result is a smile that looks better, functions better, and is set up to stay healthy for the decades ahead. That’s beauty, balance, and science in practical form.

What to Expect

Digital Scanning & Planning

A quick, no-impression digital scan captures your teeth in detail. Our team uses it to map your treatment, frame by frame, and shows you a preview of your final result before treatment begins.

Custom Aligner Series

You’ll receive a personalized series of clear aligners and switch to a new tray roughly every one to two weeks, gradually guiding your teeth into the planned final position.

Progress Checks

Brief in-office visits or virtual check-ins along the way to confirm your teeth are tracking with the plan and make adjustments if anything needs refinement.

Retention

Once treatment is complete, retainers hold your new smile in place. Retention is the part most patients underestimate, and the part Toothology will help you take seriously.
